John E. Elflein 'Artie'

John E. Elflein Artie Of Cedarburg, WI passed away on February 12, 2011 at the age of 92. Born to John and Josephine (nee Mees) Elflein. Preceded in death by his wife, Arlene, brother Matthew Harry and sister, Marquerite. Dear father of Eugene (Judy) Elflein and Gregory (Jane) Elflein; 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. John was a graduate of Boys Tech High School in Milwaukee. John also served in the US Army, in Germany, England, France and Alaska. He was part of the 341st Engineer Regiment (GS), Company E that built the Alaskan Highway. His entire career was in printing and he retired from the Journal Communications.Visitation on Wednesday February 16, 2011 from 10:30am until the time of Mass at 12:00 (noon) at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church (1375 Covered Bridge Rd., Cedarburg).The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the caregivers and staff at Anitas Gardens in Port Washington, WI for their loving compassion and care of John. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association are appreciated. Cemetery: Private Church Cemetery Visitation: Visitation from 10:30am to 12:00pm (noon) on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church 1375 Covered Bridge Rd.
