Jervaise Rae Balistrieri (Robinson) Peacefully went to her heavenly home surrounded by her family on September 3, at the age of 90. Born April 2, 1930 to Roger and Emily Robinson. Jervaise (Jeri) grew up in the Milwaukee area and attended Custard High school. During the Korean War years, Jeri was Miss Recruiter for the US military. It is at one of those events that she met her future husband, Tom. Eloping right after his graduation from Marquette University, they moved to San Diego, California where Tom was stationed as an officer in the US Navy. That was the beginning of a loving 68 year marriage filled with raising four daughters in Mequon, summers spent at their cottage on Kelly Lake, Wisconsin, a fun-filled retirement in The Villages of Florida and many wonderful trips across the globe. Jeri is survived by her adoring husband Thomas, four daughters Laurie (Rick Blank) Balistrieri, Lisa Balistrieri, Lynn (John) Doucette, and Leslie (Dave) Scherzer. Her family also includes 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law Frances "Chee Chee" Schneider. Predeceased by her sister Connie and brothers-in-law, Robert Valerio and Andrew Schneider, and son-in-law Craig Smith. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Compassus Hospice and Palliative Care and Samantha Jandre, an OT intern at Concordia University, for their kindness and compassionate care. A private family service will be held at a later date.
