Jerry L. Hadler passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 19, 2018 surrounded by his loving daughters at the age of 66 years. Jerry was born in Port Washington, on June 16, 1952, the son of the late Ray Hadler and Betty E. Hadler (Spella) of Thiensville, WI. He was born and raised in the Thiensville area. Jerry loved spending time with his family and close friends, especially his daughters and granddaughters. His focus throughout his life was his children, family and friends; making sure they were taken care of, loved and supported. His favorite times were driving through Cedarburg with his daughters and wife, reminiscing of his growing up in this beautiful country. Jerry is a United States Marine and was always more than willing to tell his stories of Hawaii even though he valiantly joined to fight the war in Vietnam. When his first granddaughter was born, we saw a different side of Jerry that we’ve never seen before. Then a second granddaughter came and his heart became full again. He was a lover of all music, especially The Eagles. He had a sense of humor that was magnetic and spent his life supporting and loving his girls. He was an avid Packers fan, spending many nights staying up late, watching in anticipation of waking in the morning to share the excitement of the win! Jerry is survived by his daughters, Joyce E. Hadler of Portland, OR; Caitlin R. Hadler (granddaughters, Kenna Nancy Cassidy and Charlotte Lee Cassidy of Oswego, IL) and Jamie L. Hadler of Crystal Lake, IL. Sister, Barb Koens of Cedarburg; brother Fred Hadler of Wauwatosa; and brother, Kevin Hadler of Cedarburg. Further survived by other relatives and friends. Jerry is presumed in death by his wife, Nancy Lee Hadler. Jerry loved his friends and family and his country. He had a great sense of humor and a way to really connect with people through his intriguing tales. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend. Jerry will truly be missed and his love of life will live on forever. A special thank you to his friends, our forever family, which reached out with their love, support and condolences upon discovering his passing. Private family services will be held at a later date.
