Jeanette J. Czelatdko

Jeanette Josephine (Pokorny) Czelatdko was born on May 31, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Rose Pokorny. Died on September 1, 2021 at the age of 91. Jeanette married James Czelatdko on June 24,1950, and remained his wife for 67 years. Beloved mother to Lawrence (Barbara), the late Susan Zalewski, the late Cynthia Kalas (Gary) and Dr. Daniel E. (Susan). Adored grandmother to Daniel J. (Katie) Czelatdko, Katie (Jaan) Apajalahti, Nicholas (Val) Zalewski, Natalie (Erik) Alcaraz, Kelsey Czelatdko and Samuel Czelatdko. Loving Great-Grandma to Peyton Czelatdko, Brady and Jackson Zalewski, Leila and Kiley Alcaraz, Weston and Nora Czelatdko and the late Lily Ann Czelatdko. Dear sister, to Dolores Hansen. Fond sister-in-law, to Nancy (Ray) Dertz. Special Aunt to Steven (Camille) Coman and Rose (Larry) Colonero. Survived by other relatives and friends. Jeanette was a fun and funny mother and grandma. She was a party planner and enjoyed hosting holidays for large groups of family well into her 80’s. She played the accordion, and loved to dance, especially the Polish Hop. Both she and Jim were avid campers and traveled throughout the United States, but especially in Wisconsin. Jim and Jeanette had a home in Dell Webb in Huntley, Illinois, and were members of the Polish Club, Wine Club and Bunko Club while there. They were rabid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fans for their entire lives. A private ceremony was held.
