A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday June 24, 2008 7:00 PM at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Grafton for Janis Ruth Blank, 83 who died on June 19, 2008 at her home in Grafton surrounded by her family. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 4 PM until time of service. Interment will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimers Association or American Diabetes Association appreciated. Janis was born in Kankakee, IL on April 22, 1925 the daughter of the late Theodore and Bernadine (Nee Arentz) Wendtlandt. She was united in marriage to Wallace Blank on October 1, 1947 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Grafton. Janis worked for many years at Grafton Elementary School Lunch Program. Janis is survived by her husband Wallace; children Darrel (Shelley) Blank, David (Becky) Blank, Dale (Carol) Blank and daughter-in-law Elsie Blank; sister Doris (Roy) Wegner; brothers Roger (Judy) Wendtlandt and Butch (Fiancee Diane) Wendtlandt; sister-in-law Delores Wendtlandt; 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren other relatives and friends. Janis was preceded in death by a son Donald; great grandson Benjamin and a brother James Wendtlandt. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimers Association or American Diabetes Association appreciated.
