Janet A. Heidtke of Jackson, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday April 20, 2014 at Aurora Medical Center in Hartford, at the age of 89 years. Janet was born in Milwaukee, WI on May 4, 1924 to the late Henry & Louise (nee Kurth) Hill and married Fred Heidtke on May 26, 1945 at Hephatha Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Janet was a long time active member at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jackson, serving on many board, councils, Ladies Aid, church choir and any other church activities, were ever help was needed. She also was a past leader for the Kirchhayn Trotters 4-H Club. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother who loved to cook, bake, and was a city girl who grew to love the country. Janet is survived by her husband Fred of Jackson, children; Keith (Kandee) Heidtke of West Bend, Rev. Gail Heiditke of Palatine, IL, Susan Heidtke of Jackson, & Joel (Wendy) Heidtke of Cedarburg, grandchildren; Andrew of Madison, Beth (fiancée Jason Boche) of Green Bay & Maya of Palatine, IL, sister; Ethel (Earl) Walter of Milwaukee, brother-in-law Robert (Iliene) Heidtke of AZ, & sister-in-law Mary (the late Rev. David) Heidtke of TX. She is further survived by other relatives, church family & friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 26, 2014, at 1 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church 2881 Division Rd. Jackson. Interment church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 11 AM until 12:45 PM. Memorials to St. John’s Building Fund or E.L.C.A. World Hunger appreciated.
