Howard R. 'Howie' Brandt

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2011 – 7:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home – Cedarburg for Howard R. “Howie” Brandt who died on July 11, 2011 at mayo Clinic Health System in Menomonie, WI at the age of 64. Rev. Kris Ertl officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 PM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Diabetes Association or your choice appreciated. Howie was born in Cedarburg, WI on July 30, 1946 the son of the late Walter and Rose (nee Flok) Brandt. Howie was employed at Mercury Marine for over 25 years. He also worked at Milwaukee County Stadium and The Buddy Schmidt Produce Stand. Howie managed his own hobby farm and also worked at Walmart in Menomonie. Howie enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, riding his Harley’s and most of all, Loved His Kid’s. Howie also volunteered at the Ozaukee Co. Fair working as a field judge during the Demolition Derby. Howie was also a past president of the Ozaukee Guzzlers. Howie is survived by his daughters: Rachel (Adam) Mikyska of West Bend and Elizabeth Brandt of Random Lake; grandsons: Gavin & Donovan Mikyska and Diego Brandt; brothers: Wally Brandt of Glendale, AZ, Irv (Arlene) Brandt of Cedarburg, Bill (Diane) Brandt of Cedarburg, Roger (Katie) Brandt of Algoma and Raymond (Kathy) Brandt of Cedarburg. Howie was preceded in death by a sister Rosalyn. Howie is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
