Henry A. Klapproth SR. of Cedarburg formerly of Grafton, passed away peacefully on Friday August 8, 2014 at Lawlis Family Hospice in Columbia St. Mary’s Ozaukee Campus in Mequon at the age of 86 years. Henry was born in Caledonia, WI on April 8, 1928 to the late Henry & Helen (nee Nelson) Klapproth. Henry was the owner and operator of Artist World in Cedarburg. He was a member of the Cedarburg Artist Club, Mequon Artist League, Ozaukee County Historical Society, Friends of Cedarburg Bog, & Friends of Harrington Beach State Park, and American Legion Rose Harms Post 355 in Grafton. Henry is survived by his children; David (Chris) Klapproth of Des Moines, IA, John (Alexis) Klapproth of Anchorage, AK, Lynn (Tony) Oliver of Monrovia, IN, Christine (John Magoon) Ford of Florissant, CO & LaurieAnn Jean-Klapproth of Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by son Henry “Skip” Klapproth. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Kathy Winter, grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 12, 1 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church 701 Washington Ave Grafton. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 11 AM until 12:45 PM. Inurnment will take place in Camp Douglas, WI.
