Helen E. Jarvey, of Grafton, passed away on August 24, 2016, at the Lawlis Family Hospice, in Mequon, at the age of 84 years. Helen was born on March 27, 1932, in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late John Versegi and the late Mary (nee Kercsik) Versegi. She was united in marriage to Walter Jarvey on July 3, 1952, at the Church of St. Leo, in Milwaukee. Helen was employed by the United States Postal Office, in Milwaukee working as a sorter. She was a dedicated employee and retired from the United States Postal Service after many years of service. Helen was a member of the Rose Harms American Legion Post Auxiliary #355, in Grafton, for over 37 years. She was an avid stamp collector as well as an avid beanie baby collector. Helen is survived by her niece, Linda Uhrman, nephews, Mike (Nancy) Gebo and Brian Gebo, sister-in-law, Gwen (Mike) Hannon, and brother-in-law, Rudy (Judy) Jarvey. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Jarvey and her sister, Mary Ann Gebo. A Rite of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 11AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church (1619 Washington St.), Grafton. She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, in Mequon. The family will receive visitors, at the church, on Wednesday, from 9:30AM until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Helen’s name to the Ozaukee County Humane Society or to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
