Harold "Harry" J. Zaske

Harold “Harry” J. Zaske, of Grafton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Lawlis Family Hospice, in Mequon, at the age of 73 years. Harry was born on January 25, 1943, in Minnesota, the son of the late Eberhart Zaske and the late Mable (nee Billiar) Zaske. He later served his country in the United States Navy, during the Vietnam War. Harry was united in marriage to Pat Leahy on October 23, 1965, in Illinois. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Jamie and Jodi. Harry was a dedicated employee of the Evinrude Outboard Motor Company, working as a machinist, for over 33 years. Upon his retirement from Evinrude, in 1998, Harry worked part-time on the grounds crew at the Ozaukee Country Club, for over 15 years. Harry was one of the longest standing members of the Ozaukee Corvette Club, where he had been a member for over 35 years. He was very fond of his cars, and was so precise on the maintenance as well as the cleanliness of his “”baby”. Harry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Pat (nee Leahy) Zaske, daughters, Jamie (Paul) DeMars and Jodi Zaske, grandchildren, Micaela and Nikolas DeMars, sister, Spring Billiar, and brother-in-law, Jim (Elena) Leahy. He is further survived by his beloved dog, Charlie, other relatives and many friends. Harry was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenny Zaske. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at 6PM, at the Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory (979 N. Green Bay Rd.), in Grafton. He will be in state on Tuesday, from 4PM until the time of the service. Harry will be laid to rest at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, in Grafton. The Rev. Larry Prahl will be conducting the services.
