Glen A. Stephen Passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at Lawliss Hospice Center, Mequon. Born to William and Martha (Klose) Stephen on February 8, 1921. He married Anne Marie Eichinger (Honey Girl) on July 8, 1943 in Milwaukee. Glen was a loving, smart, gentle, and patient father. He skipped two grades and graduated third in his class at North Division High School at age 17. He enlisted in the Merchant Marines as a Radio Operator during WWII. He owned and operated Glen’s 5 Chair Barber Shop on Fond du lac Ave. for over 30 years. Glen had many interests including a love of filming (Bell & Howell) the family spanning 60 years. In addition to raising pigeons during his youth, he relished, hunting, fishing, working on cars, beekeeping, grafting fruit and nut trees, tending to his apple orchard, even finding time to work at the Cedarburg DMV Test Station for awhile. He was President and Charter member of the DIY club – he could fix anything. He enjoyed tracing his Scottish roots, resulting in a trip to his family birthplace Insch, Scotland followed up with a 10 day all family excursion to climb Mt. Stephen, Field, British Columbia, Canada. He is survived by his five children: Christine (Richard) McCarthy of Edgewood, Kentucky, Cindy Harris of Port Washington, Scott (Dawn) of Saukville, Craig of Glendale, and William (Mimi) of Mequon; grandchildren: Dennis Wenger (Vicki) of Eau Claire, Brian Harris of Port Washington, Joshua Stephen of Saukville, Benjamin, Sophie and Samuel Stephen of Mequon; and great grandchildren: Nicholas, Zoe and Allie Wenger of Eau Claire. Further survived by sister, Patricia Sellers and brother, Clyde Stephen and many nieces and nephews. Glen was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Stephen, sister, Connie Kloster, and former son-in-law Spencer Harris. Glen lived a good life and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Service to be held at a later date.
