Gerhard J. Terdenge

Gerhard J. Terdenge, of Cedarburg, died peacefully at the Harrison Home in Cedarburg on December 3, 2015 at the age of 91. Gerhard was born in Gelsenkirchen, Germany on May 26, 1924 the son of the late Hermann and Martha (Nee Richter) Terdenge. Gerhard was united in marriage to Elfriede (nee Steffan) on February 2, 1947 in Germany. Gerhard worked for Sears & Roebuck for over 25 years as a maintenance engineer. Gerhard was a devoted husband and loving father and “Opi” who will be dearly missed. He shared his love of the Northwoods and reminiscences of the “old country” without hesitation. With his skillful hands and his unique artistic touch he created wonderful woodcarvings. And his freely given services as “repairman” were always appreciated. Gerhard is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Elfriede (nee Steffan). Loving father of Trudi (Thomas) Roesch. Loving “Opi” of Jennifer Roesch. Dear brother of Hermine Haufe. Also loved and cherished by many nieces & nephews here and in Germany. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015 – 4:30 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church 8080 N. 47th St. Brown Deer, WI. Interment Lakefield Cemetery. Visitation at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 PM – 4:15 PM. Memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Brown Deer appreciated.
