Florence G. Haase

Florence G. Haase (nee Powichrowski) of Thiensville passed away peacefully on Sunday January 10, 2016 at the Harbor Cove in Port Washington at the age of 90 years. Florence was born in Milwaukee on July 28, 1925 to the late Alexander & Katherine (nee Kubicki) Powichrowski and married the late James Haase on July 25, 1951 at St Casimir’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Florence volunteered at St. Mary’s Ozaukee Hospital gift shop for many years and was a long time active member at Lumen Christi West (St. Cecelia’s) Catholic Church in Thiensville. She is survived by her children; Thomas J. Haase of Pewaukee & Karen (Phillip) Johnston of Grafton, grandchild; Tyler J. (Courtney Lehrke) Haase of Oconomowoc, brother; Henry (Marilyn) Powers of Thiensville, Godson; Ken (Kim) Powers of Chicago, great grandson Carter E. Haase. She was preceded in death by her husband James, granddaughter Kera Jo Haase and daughter-in-law Nancy Jo. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday January 18, 11:30 AM at Lumen Christi West Catholic Church 138 W. Buntrock Ave Thiensville. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery Mequon. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 10 – 11:15 AM. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association or the MACC Fund appreciated.
