Edward J. Bernarde

Went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, March 22, 2016 at the age of 82. Beloved husband and best friend for 59 years to Janice (nee Gierach). Loving father of Bruce (Tracy) Bernarde and Rhonda (Gary) Hilgendorf. Proud Grandpa of Aaron (Emily) Hilgendorf and Zachary Bernarde. Brother of Janet (Doyle) Spahr of Beatrice, NE, Carol Ekhoff of Berthoud, CO and Richard (Marlene) Bernarde of Maple, NC. Preceded in death by his Father and Mother; John & Anna Bernarde, Sister and Brother-In-Law; Marge & Otto Wagner, Brother; John Bernarde and Brother-In-Law; Nels Ekhoff. He is further survived by many other loving relatives and friends. A celebration of Ed’s life will be held at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church (10729 W. Freistadt Rd.), Mequon, on Saturday March 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will take place prior to the funeral service from 10:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Pastor Joshua Rusert will be officiating. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church are appreciated.
