Douglas Anschuetz

Douglas Anschuetz had a passion for life and lived every day wanting another. On August 15, he finally found peace after a long battle with ALS. A lifelong resident of Cedarburg, Doug was born on February 5, 1944 the son of the late Raymond and Evelyn (nee Eichrodt) Anschuetz. He married the love of his life Pamela (nee Pardun) on June 20, 1964. Doug was an accomplished musician and brought great joy to so many people with his band. He loved warm weather which meant gardening, flowers and tending his beautiful yard. He enjoyed bird watching, visiting with friends and especially Christmas. As a woodworker, Doug created beautiful pieces of furniture. He was meticulous and organized in everything he touched. Doug’s love of family and friends was always present. He adored Pam and was so grateful for her patience and caregiving. He was a wonderful father who was generous with his love and his time. He was so proud of his grandson Max and never missed an opportunity to spend time with him. Doug had a strong Christian faith and prayed endlessly for family and friends as he awaited his own miracle. He was so thankful to the neighbors and friends who helped him through his journey. Doug’s incredible sense of humor will be remembered by everyone that knew him. Doug is survived by his wife Pam of 54 years, daughter Wendy (Dean) Dederich, grandson, Max Anschuetz Dederich, brother, Gilbert and Aunt Genevieve. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Grafton. Visitation will be held from 1:30pm – 4pm followed by a service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family or the ALS Association Milwaukee Chapter.
