Doris Reetz

Doris Reetz, of Jackson, was called to her heavenly home on February 13, 2018, at the age of 93 years. Doris was born in Jackson, the daughter of the late Albert Schubert and the late Helen (nee Eberhardt) Schubert. She attended Trinity Ev. Lutheran School on Pleasant Valley Road, and later graduated from Cedarburg High School. Doris was a lifelong member at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, where she was baptized and was also confirmed in her Christian faith. Doris was united in marriage to Paul Reetz on October 29, 1945, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Alan and Dale Reetz. Doris was an avid gardener who loved to plant all different types of flowers throughout the family farm. She also enjoyed cutting the grass on the farm as well as helping her husband with various chores. Doris is survived by her sons, Alan Reetz and Dale (Cheryl) Reetz, grandchildren, Maria (Chad) Scheer and Emily (Doug) Crum, great-grandchildren, Evelyn Crum and Trista Scheer, niece, Sharon (Frank) Keller, and nephews, Pat and Richard Horlamus. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Reetz, her parents, and her sister, Evelyn Rosenthal. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2018, 2PM at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church (1268 Pleasant Valley Rd.), in West Bend. She will be in state on Saturday, at the church, from 12 Noon until the time of service. Doris will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband, at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Cemetery, across from the church proper. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in memory of Doris Reetz to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church.
