Doris Ottilie Alma Schoessow

Doris Ottilie Alma Schoessow Found peace on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the age of 85. She was born March 16, 1927, the only child of Erwin and Marie (Nee Schmidt) Krueger. On May 1, 1946 she married Arnold Schoessow. Together they farmed the land and raise four children. She loved to spend time with her family and also enjoyed planting a huge garden each year. She shared her bountiful harvest with family and many neighbors and friends. Doris is survived by her husband of nearly 67 years Arnold: her son Richard (Jane) Schoessow and her daughters Mary (Tom Bauer of Helenville, Patti (Aaron) Gettelman of Ixonia and Debbie (Todd) Johnson of Germantown. Doris was Grandma to Andy (Dawn) and Eric Bauer; and Great Grandma to Emilee, Jacob and Brooke Bauer all of Helenville. Also surviving her is her friends and devoted caregiver Cindy and her many friends for Heartland Hospice, who took such great care of her during the last two years. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters-in-law Edna Schoessow and Frieda Schmeling and on brother-in-law Eugene Schmeling. A memorial service for Doris will be held at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Freistadt, WI on Saturday, February 23, 2013 – 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 11:30 AM until time of service. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
