Doris G. Wegner

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11:00am at the Grafton Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory, 979 Green Bay Road for lifetime resident of Grafton, Doris G. Wegner who died on Friday, November 27, 2015 at the age of 87 years. Deacon Al Lazaga will officiate. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30am to 10:45am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorials to the Ozaukee County 4-H Foundation appreciated. Doris was born in Grafton, Wisconsin on June 23, 1928 to the late Theodore and Bernadine (nee Arentz) Wendtlandt. She married Roy Wegner on February 8, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church and they were blessed with 5 children. Doris and Roy took over the family dairy farm until 1972. Doris loved gambling at the casinos on the slot machines. She was a 4-H leader and was involved with the Ozaukee County Fair. She loved watching the Packers, Brewers and Badgers. She adored and loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her last great-grandchild, Teagan was born this year on her birthday. Doris is survived by her children; Roy (Sharon) Wegner, Beverly Wegner, Judy (Willie) Steinert, Kristi (Mike) Mullens and Chuck Wegner, brothers; Roger (Judy) Wendtlandt and Henry (Diane) Wendtlandt, brother-in-law; Wallace Blank, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Doris is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy, grandson, Joel Steinert, granddaughters Kim Klippel and Debra Dominie, sister Janis Blank and brother James Wendtlandt.
