Derek A. Meinen

Derek Allen Meinen, 59, of Germantown, Wisconsin, formerly from Cedarburg, passed away at home on Saturday, June 15, 2019. Derek was born in Milwaukee, WI on September 15, 1959, to James and Dorothy Meinen. He became a proud father when Hayley was born on August 9, 1991. He was married to Joy on March 30, 1996. Derek worked at International Paper for close to 30 years then opened a Milwaukee area The Grout Doctor franchise in October 2010. Derek enjoyed playing music, sports, cooking, camping, traveling, playing games and spending time with family. Derek is survived by his wife Joy; daughter Hayley (James) Griffith; brothers: Michael (Kathleen) Meinen and Jeffrey (Angela) Meinen; sister Dawn (Michael) Knupp; and father James Meinen. Derek was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Meinen. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 – 3:30 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 979 N Green Bay Rd, Grafton, WI 53024. Family will greet friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM - 3:15 PM. Continued celebration of Derek’s life will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, send memorials to the charities of your choice.
