Delores Maronde

Delores (nee Haas) Maronde passed away on October 7, 2019 at the age of 87 years. She was born in the town of Mequon to Edwin and Rose Haas on March 12, 1932. She graduated from Grafton High School. Delores married Lester Maronde on July 26, 1952. Delores worked for Grafton Public Schools for 49 years as a lunch cook, library aide and school secretary at Grafton Elementary School. She was a member of the Rose Harms Ladies Auxiliary and the Woman’s Guild at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Delores is survived by her sons, Bob (Sue) Maronde and Scott (Tammy) Maronde, Grandchildren: Adam (Erika) Maronde, Megan (Brandon) Goetz, Alyssa (Quinn) Maronde; great-grandchildren: Emma, Samuel, Emmanuel Maronde and Mason Goetz. She is preceded in death by her husband Lester Maronde. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 5:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 Washington St., Grafton. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church, from 3:00 PM – 4:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to Mel’s Charities are appreciated. A gathering will be held following the service at the American Legion Rose-Harms Post 355, 1540 13th Ave., Grafton. The family would like to thank the staff at Horizon Hospice and the Hamburg Home for their loving and compassionate care.
