Christine C. Balister

Long time resident of Port Washington entered into eternal life on September 11, 2024 at the age of 80 years after a brief battle with covid pneumonia.

Christine enjoyed spending time tending her plants and garden. She delighted in the daily visits from birds and playful critters. Christine loved these moments of connection with nature. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family and dogs.

Despite her challenges with cancer and recent illness, Christine remained a caring and kind-hearted soul, cherished by all who knew her.

Christine is survived by her loving husband James Balister of 60 years. Beloved mother of David (Christina) Balister and Diana Dubrow. Proud grandmother of Alex Balister, Alyssa (Jarrod) Keck and Joshua Dubrow.

Preceded in death by her sister Bonnie Fusek and brother Paul Fusek. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

In accordance with Christine’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who were touched by her kindness and love.
