Chrisanthy "Chris" D. Hegedus

Chrisanthy “Chris” D. Condes/Hegedus of Cedarburg, Wisconsin, age 94, formerly of Schererville and Whiting, Indiana passed away quietly on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 while in the loving care at Lawlis Family Hospice. She was surrounded by her family at that time. She lived at the Harrison Home in Cedarburg for the past four years where she received attentive and loving care each and every day. She is survived by her daughter: Maria (Bob) Hegedus Loomis of Cedarburg, WI and son: Paul (Johnette) Hegedus of Keenesaw, GA, grandchildren: Nathan (Jessica) Hegedus of Kennesaw, GA., Jason (Gabrielle) Loomis of Cedarburg, WI, Maria (Mohammed) Damerchi of Eagan, MN., and Alexi Loomis (soon to be Shepet, Colin) of Pewaukee, WI., great-grandchildren Mason Hegedus of Kennesaw, GA., Raphael and Alex Loomis of Cedarburg, WI. Preceded in death by her husband Paul A. Hegedus, parents, Demetrios and Maria Condes, brothers; Sam (Kate), George (Mary), Pete (Angie) and Chris (Lorena), sisters; Ethel (Gus) Tsochios, Georgia (Jay) Harbin and special friends Annie and Francis Ward and Tom Chintis. There will not be a funeral service per Chrisanthy’s request. Chrisanthy wished to have a memorial luncheon to celebrate her life. Chrisanthy was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, class of 1943 and attended the Art Institute of Chicago. Chrisanthy was passionate about painting. She was an amazing watercolor artist specializing in paintings of outdoor landscapes, architecture and water scenes. She was a 53 year survivor of metastatic breast cancer and never hesitated to encourage women who would call to seek her advice and support. Chrisanthy always put herself last when it came to her family, brothers, sisters, children and grandchildren. She had a zest for life that inspired all and the most giving of spirits. Chrisanthy’s very best friend was her daughter who cared for her, cried with her, laughed with her and was with her every day of her daughter’s life. We all loved her and will miss her. Chrisanthy asked us not to not cry for her but, instead, to celebrate her life with smiles and happy memories. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Family Tree Harrison Home would be greatly appreciated. Mueller Funeral Home in Cedarburg is honored to assist Chrisanthy’s family.
