Biuk Gashti Karimi

Biuk Gashti Karimi sadly left our world at the age of 65. He was originally from Azerbaijan, Iran, making Wisconsin his home for much of his life. He was a brilliant engineer, woodworker, sewer, and cook who always had a solution. He could fix or build almost anything. He loved carpentry, making beautiful handcrafted furniture, and building and rehabbing houses, even teaching himself electrical work and plumbing. His yard was a delight for him to work in, growing and enjoying fruit trees and shrubs. He and his wife refurbished an 1870s stone farmhouse in Cedarburg, in which he resided until his passing. He worked in biomedical engineering at Wheaton-Franciscan Healthcare. He was truly a unique and beloved individual, leaving a large void in his absence. He has left behind his mother Ghazlarkhani, wife Barbara, three daughters—Shireen, Nisa, Sara, brothers Ramin and Mohsen, and soon-to-be-born grandson. He will be remembered on Thursday, December 7, at Washington House Inn in Cedarburg. Visitation begins at 1pm. Memorial and celebration of life at 1:30pm, followed by food and drinks. *** In honor of Biuk, the family appreciates people bringing memories and stories to share. ***
