Barbara Ann Glass

Barbara Ann Glass, of Mequon, formerly of Osteen, Florida and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, April 15, 2024, at the Teal Shores Assisted Living Facility, at the age of 81 years.

Barbara was born on December 14, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Virgil S. Wood and the late Elizabeth (nee Sacks) Wood. She later graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School for Girls, which was a high school attended by all of the girls in her family.

Barbara was united in marriage to Thomas Danvers on April 1, 1967, in Philadelphia. Together their marriage was blessed with two daughters, Bobbi and Becky. Tom and Barbara enjoyed spending countless hours together in their Pocono house, that they built together, and would also winter, in Flagler Beach, Florida. Tom preceded Barbara in death back in 1998, when he was only 56 years old.

Barbara continued to winter in Florida, but would make her winter residence in Osteen, Florida. That is where she met Carl Glass, and the two started dating and were later wed, in 2004. Barbara and Carl enjoyed a very active lifestyle in the Kove. Carl preceded Barbara in death back in 2019, after 15 years of marriage.

Barbara then relocated to Mequon, Wisconsin, to be closer to her daughter and her grandchildren. She was a social butterfly and would join any activity that she could. Barbara enjoyed playing bingo, golf, and bowling. Her true love was getting to spend time with her five grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her loving daughter, Becky (Jeff) Yuan, grandchildren: Christian (Meghan) Jackson, Sydney (Kevin) Jackson, Kendra Jackson, Samuel Yuan, and Elizabeth Yuan. She is further survived by other relatives and many friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her husbands, Thomas Danvers and Carl Glass, as well as her beloved daughter, Bobbi Jackson Klock.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, 2:30 PM at the Teal Shores Assisted Living Facility (10995 N. Market St.), in Mequon. The family will receive friends and visitors immediately following the Celebration of Life Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Teal Shores Activities Department are appreciated.
