Arline M Mertens

Arline M. Mertens, of Cedarburg, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 15, 2016, at The Harrison Home, in Cedarburg, at the age of 89 years, surrounded by her family. Arline was born in Milwaukee WI, on December 4, 1926, the daughter of the late Max Reichelt and the late Marie (nee Kahn) Reichelt. Arline was employed by Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield for over 25 years and also waitressed for many years at Jake’s restaurant in Pewaukee. Arline is survived by her son Thomas (Tammy Ruh-Mertens), her niece Jane Reichelt, and her nephew Jeff (Jan) Reichelt. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Arline enjoyed family gatherings and celebrations, of which she had a particular fondness for Lauren, Olivia, Ava, and Sophia. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 12:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory (N63 W527 Hanover Ave), Cedarburg, WI with Rev. Bill Beyer officiating. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials of your choice are appreciated.
