Allen A. Eilbes (Al)

Allen A. Al Eilbes, Theresa, entered into eternal life on July 19, 2010, at age 52 years. He taught all of us how to battle cancer for seven years with courage and humor and has now taught us how to die with honor, dignity and love for his family. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010, at 7:30PM at Resurrection Catholic Church, Allenton. Family will receive friends from 4PM until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials for Masses, or donations to Froedtert Hospital Foundation Clinical Cancer Center, The Kathy Hospice, or to the family appreciated. Allen was born on September 23, 1957, in Cedarburg to Alois and Kathryn (nee Junk) Eilbes. Allen graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1976. While working full time for another business, Allen worked alongside his dad to form Al Eilbes & Sons. After his dads retirement, Al took it to a full time occupation in which his sons have joined him. On July 30, 1983, Allen married Mary Beth Wieseler at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Milwaukee. They made their home in West Bend for 19 years and then moved to their present home in Theresa. Allen is survived by his wife, Mary Beth, and his three sons Michael, Andrew and Matthew, all at home; one beloved granddaughter, Bailey; his mother Kathryn Eilbes of West Bend; his sister Mary Therese (John) Johnson of West Bend; his brother Paul (Nancy) Eilbes of Cedarburg; and 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 2 great-nieces, and 2 great-nephews all very close to their Uncle Fuzzy his mother-in-law Carol Wieseler of Milwaukee; his brothers-in-law Michael Wieseler of Hartford and Tom Wieseler of Milwaukee; and many other loving relatives. Allen is also survived by an extraordinary friend and maple syrup pal of 30 years, Mike (Peg) Uihlen and family, and also his special school friend Joel Hackert and many, many friends. He is preceded in death by his dad, Alois Eilbes, and his father-in-law, William Wieseler. The family would especially like to thank Dr. Charles Kaufman, the Froedtert Cancer Doctors and nurses of 4NTW who through their care and compassion made the last seven years tolerable, and the staff of The Kathy Hospice.
