Albert Louis Vodicka Jr, 88, of Cedarburg, WI, formerly Lake Forest & Northbrook, IL, entered heaven on May 11, 2010. Born Feb 7, 1922 in Chicago, raised in Glen Ellyn, IL. Cherished husband to Eleanor (Toffenetti) for 67 years; father of Albert Vodicka III (Catie), Vivian Koralik (James), Veronica Simon (Dennis), Valerie Collins (David), Cynthia OKelley (Mike), Laura Sroka (Greg); Papa to 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Al attended college at Notre Dame, Southbend, IN and met his true love, Ellie, played football, and served in the Marines during WWII. Al ran his family business, Aetna Porcelain and Enameling in Chicago. Known for his beautiful gardens, crooning voice, athleticism, love of sports & fitness and especially golf. Al dedicated his life to family, leading the way on hikes, bike rides and to special summers at Lake Laura in the northwoods. He will be dearly missed. His legacy of love of activity and the outdoors continues. Memorial Mass June 19, 2010 11:00AM at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church.
