Michael Mueller

Mike continues the third generation of Mueller Funeral Home and Crematory. He was raised in Cedarburg, Wisconsin where he attended First Immanuel Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Cedarburg High School.


In 1992, Mike started working at the funeral home alongside his father, Harold “Teno” Mueller, and his brother Scott. He earned his degree as a funeral director in 1995 from Milwaukee Area Technical College in West Allis, Wisconsin.


Mike and his wife, Lisa, live in Cedarburg and became sole owners of Mueller Funeral Home in 2020. They are long time members of First Immanuel Lutheran Church. Their son Tyler and his wife Hayla, live in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.


Outside of the funeral home, Mike enjoys golfing, taking excursions on his Harley, snowmobiling and enjoying the North Woods.

Craig A. Plopper

Funeral Director / Insurance Agent

Craig was raised in New Berlin, Wisconsin where he attended Martin Luther High School, in Greendale. He attended Concordia University, in River Forest, Illinois, where he played collegiate basketball for four years and graduated with a double major in Business Management and Communications.


Craig joined the Mueller Funeral Home team in February of 1997. He became a Licensed Funeral Director in August of 2001. Craig truly loves assisting with families in their time of need, working with the local clergy, and he deeply cherishes all the relationships he has made throughout his years, in the funeral profession.


Craig and his wife, Jennifer, live in Cedarburg, and are very active in their community. Craig has served as past president of the Lakeshore Funeral Directors Association and has served on the Board of Directors for the Ozaukee County 4-H Foundation.


Outside of the funeral home, Craig enjoys playing golf, working in his yard, listening to music, and spending time with his family and neighbors.

Ava R. Dewey

Ava was raised in West Bend, Wisconsin where she attended West Bend West High School. After graduating High School in 2019, she attended mortuary school at Milwaukee Area Technical College. She began her apprenticeship at Mueller Funeral Home in 2020 and soon became a licensed funeral director in 2022. 


Ava understands how precious time spent with loved ones is and enjoys helping families honor and remember their own. Ava is passionate about helping families through difficult times and growing relationships throughout the community. 


When Ava is not in the office, she enjoys playing golf (although she could use more practice), reading, working out, and exploring new restaurants and events in Thiensville where she resides.

Jacob T. Schuette

Jake was raised in Saukville, Wisconsin where he attended Ozaukee High School, in Fredonia.


Jake joined Mueller Funeral Home in 2012, right after graduating high school. He worked through college until getting his Funeral Director License in 2017. Jake has a compassionate and calm demeanor about him. He truly cares about the families he works with. His goal is to make the funeral process as easy as possible for families.


Outside of the funeral home, Jake enjoys playing disc golf and spending time with friends.
